Emma Harner - Evening Star 5. you are an angel - you are an angel nothing has topped my top 3 from last year (saddest landscape is close though) but god, it seems like we are getting new contenders every week. the new Topiary Creatures is awesome, that could end up here for sure. new Tigers Jaw has been growing on me immensely too. just outside of the top 5 i'd say, but Ronny Music by Dino Gala, although flawed, has some of my favorite songs this year by far

Exhumed - Red Asphalt (didn't stick with me in the long term, still very well done) Codex Crudelitas - Incongruent Vacant Forms (weird slam but has shit bass drops)

AlkemestRedux 06.12.26	There have been a ton of 4 and even 4.5s, but only four 5s so far from me. I think it's been a really interesting year for metal, but a little less so for country. A solid handful of country albums are bumping around the 4 mark, and Clovis is my AOTY right now, but otherwise a bit underwhelming.
