nothing has topped my top 3 from last year (saddest landscape is close though) but god, it seems like we are getting new contenders every week. the new Topiary Creatures is awesome, that could end up here for sure. new Tigers Jaw has been growing on me immensely too.

06.12.26 | Everyone's talking about how good 2026 is, and even though we had some great comebacks and noteworthy releases, last year I had a much stronger top 5 by this time of the year. So dunno, I will definitely check some albums from this list, but these are my favorites so far.

06.12.26 | There have been a ton of 4 and even 4.5s, but only four 5s so far from me. I think it's been a really interesting year for metal, but a little less so for country. A solid handful of country albums are bumping around the 4 mark, and Clovis is my AOTY right now, but otherwise a bit underwhelming. |
