05.22.26 | 34 just had a sinus infection or covid and it was pretty rough for about 5 days. My wife got sick the following week and it was worse for her.
There isn't much you can do but as soon as you start feeling like you might be unwell it's a good time to take echinacea, vitamin D, C, zinc to help your immune system
Get well soon (: |

05.22.26 | I've had the flu for about 2 and a half weeks now, feels great. Technically 5 days of the flu and then a week and a bit of a constant cough lol |

05.22.26 | Glad I'm not the only one, colds and flu bugs I got in my 20s that I shrugged off in a few days will now keep me out of action for a week plus, and there's usually a shitty cough that sticks around for a month afterwards (which is great when you're a vocalist lol) |

05.22.26 | I have health issues from birth, but one way I'm healthy is I don't "get sick". Don't even remember the last time I got the common cold. Never got Covid, not sure I've ever had the flu, not even allergic to anything really, just fucked up in other ways most people don't have. |

05.22.26 | i went like the majority of my 20s without ever catching a cold, thaaan i caught covid in like 2022 funnily enough cause my family took me to a buffet for my [30th] birthday. feel like i still have long term effects from that, but generally often more sick than usual and just kinda take whatever meds i can get to get thru the days. i have pollen allergies/hay fever so going outside for a half hour gives me an intense headache for the rest of the day, i've taken up daily zytec[cetezine] and that actually has helped me a bunch but if i forget it or don't have any i'm just fucked once i head off to work.
but yeah multivitamin +a standalone b/c/d/e/iron/magnesium/zinc, zytec and an aspirin. and cause i've like fucked up a nerve or herniated a disc tylenol+ibuprofen. cut down on drinking by my mid-twenties, i've been more willing lately but pretty conscious not to get drunkdrunk cause my hangovers are just me vomiting anything i drink for 16 hours. trying to ease my way back into weed cause shit's been legal here for like years now but straight up smoking it just jumpstarts my anxiety. but yeah everything just kinda sucks |

05.22.26 | Obviously there are environmental factors and genetics that contribute to illness, but your 30s is when metabolism slows down and other things start to get quirky. So as if diet wasn't important before, it certainly is now. You need balance, vitamins and minerals, all the usual things, but think about fiber, anti-inflammatory ingredients, avoiding large blood sugar wings. I like to walk on a walking pad at home for 20 minutes or so after eating as well, for blood sugar, digestion, etc reasons. |

05.22.26 | I know I used to try to muscle my way through illnesses without any medicine, DayQuil, etc. but now I embrace that shit every time lol. I'm too busy having 30s adult responsibilities to deal with feeling awful.
One thing I have learned though is that I have to force myself to rest and do nothing for like a day. That works wonders. Trying to push through will just make it last longer; taking a day to lay around, do nothing, and just heal does so much good now. I've noticed that I get better faster every time I do that. |

05.22.26 | Sleep, water and sleep if you can. Like if I feel like pure ass I chug as much water as I can and sleep for as long as possible, like even 12 hour chunks. Cold medicines are also great, even if they are just to get you to sleep.

05.22.26 | Sorry to hear that a lot of you are going through it right now healthwise. Was not expecting so much feedback to this post. Definitely can relate as someone who has struggled w asthma for roughly half their life at 34 and recently hitting a scary moment last year. I have been making an effort to work out and eat better since then, but this sickness hit me and my partner like a truck. It is our fault because we stayed up til 6pm Sunday after being out all Sunday morning from the previous day (music and friends were too fire). Definitely been doing all the medicine tricks I can but this one seems to be coming in waves. One moment I feel better then next I'm hitting another low. Hoping great health in everyone's future |
