I think I'm finally at that acceptance phase where I'm making the best of the situation rather than sulking in it. Eventually I'll be home... just gotta be really patient
Also, I've lost about 70 pounds now! So that's a plus

05.09.26 | Well, me and my family are getting priced out of everything because western civilization as a whole is just circling the drain these days. Just keeping good food on the table is a struggle these days despite both myself and fiancee being educated with pretty decent jobs. I've lost a best friend, a grandmother and the family dog to illnesses in the last year and a half and my father cut ties with me because he's a callous cunt. My stepdads been in the hospital since November and I'm just trying really hard to stay sane these days for everyone else's sake. Raising a family isn't easy these days, and the heaps of bullshit that keep getting shovelled onto the compost pile of life aren't making it any easier. I feel spread thin, worn out. I'm tired boss. Got a stable home and bulletproof job security but I still feel like everything is a house of cards. |

It honestly varies day by day. Some days we'll get something good like a brisket or lasagna, only to be greeted the next day with a dry-ass veggie patty and a hot dog with no bun. Just depends on what the galley puts out that day, so it's always a crapshoot.
Can't wait to finally get home and have some decent food on shore again though. When we get back, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna order a large pizza and just devour the whole thing in one go |
