04.29.26 | I didn’t like this Tempers album either, quite a disappointment. Have you heard their first release “Services”? It’s quite good, worth giving it a try imo. Haven’t heard of Diorama before, which album did you like the most? | Ladron93
04.29.26 | Yeah, it's really unfortunate to see their latest album being disappointing. Services? I really can't say I do. I'll give it a listen later on.
I don't have a good answer, gabba. The darkwave band blends with Futurepop and synth-pop that's very different to other darkwave bands out there.
If you like Darkwave with Futurepop, I'd pick either Her Liquid Arms (2001) or Even The Devil Doesn't Care. These two are the ones I like the most.
Reflecting on my musical personality, I've realized I'm obsessed with the Darkwave-Coldwave fusion, like Sixth June (Everytime), Mareux, Saigon Blue Rain, Boy Harsher (Careful), Dead Astronauts (Silhouettes and Ghosts) and Pictureplane (Sex Distortion). | gabba
04.29.26 | Alright, thanks for the recs! Not sure what futurepop is exactly, but I'll check those two albums by Diorama. As for the rest, I also dig Boy Harsher, and have just bookmarked Saigon Blue Rain and an album by Mareux I haven't heard yet. This is one of those days when I'm in darkwave/synthpop mood. | Ladron93
04.29.26 | No prob! Futurepop is like Covenant (Northern Light) and VNV Nation (Futureperfect). Going through Diorama's discography has been a new and slow territory to me.
Sounds good, gabba. | mystagogus
04.29.26 | Glad you enjoyed buddy!
gabba Even The Devil Doesn't Care is my fave. | Ladron93
04.30.26 | Likewise, mysta. | mystagogus
04.30.26 | One more of my favorite dancey darkwave acts if you're interested in the genre https://kirliancamera.bandcamp.com/album/radio-signals-for-the-dying | mystagogus
04.30.26 | And regarding synthpop, Rotersand (Random is Resistance, Welcome to Goodbye), Neuroticfish (Gelb) and mind.in.a.box (Broken Legacies) come to mind. |
