Black Ink was my band name in high school. People thought it was a tribute to Blink182. BLack INK. But we werent that clever. Guitarist's mom named us after she hated our first name Penmen from a poster in our drummer's room.

First came on MX to get bass tabs. Then found and lurked on the forums. Finally signed up 24 years ago and posted mostly in the Pop Punk forums. Eventually wandered into the Pit.

My avatar was of me dancing in my room. The gif was originally too big so I compressed it to hell losong all the colors so it looked like a dancing ink blot eventually. I had alt accounts Blue Ink, Red Ink and Pink Ink. Someone else made Purple and Yellow Ink all with the same dancing avatar in the respective colors.

I really only became a mod for the italic username. Mostly just deleted spam posts but did try to push more activity in the forums by highlighting forum posts in news posts once the review site was most of the traffic.
