BAT 03.07.26	it's really good, think some people might be overselling it as like a top3 all time resident evil, buuut it's top10 material for sure. really want to play insanity and wish they had it unlocked from the bat, found the game a little too easy buuut that's how i feel about all the normal difficulty re:engine games//much prefer them on madhouse/pro/etc. i feel like the games going to get the most appreciation from fans of the re2 remake, the loop/progression reminded me a lot of how that game worked wiiith leons combat being kind of an inbetween point from re2r to re4r [4's definitely got the most combat mechanics/strats in the series]. i think the two chars switching off is probably what makes the game work as well as it does buuut also feels like it's something that limited it's potential. it feels like two great 70% complete campaigns back to back instead of one straightforward campaign, both feel like there's room for more. buuuut like i said the limiting scope provides a much more polished/focused campaign, what it does it does very well and wanting more isn't necessarily a bad take away. need to play it another 5 times or so to really settle on where i'd rank it, but i much prefered it over village and think it's in the same league as re7 and re2r. re4r's still my favorite of the re:engine stuff buuut all those games are pretty great. recommended for any fan
JayEnder 03.07.26	Just finished my first playthrough. Wow. 10/10. Hard to find any complaints with it as a hardcore RE fan, even the massive tonal shift in the second half was a nice change of pace. Also, no spoilers but getting the bad ending for the first time literally made my soul leave my body. Bravo Capcom.
DrGonzo1937 03.07.26	The OG 1-4 and CV will always be my favourites, but in terms of modern RE this is easily the best game to come since the original RE4, and I actually think it’s the most perfectly paced RE in the series, next to the OG RE2.

twlight 03.08.26	I felt like it was slightly too short. I absolutely loved it tho it might be my fav re game. I just love the mix of action with Leon and horror with grace. The first 1/4 of the game with grace was expertly crafted
twlight 03.08.26	I’m playing through 7 again now and damn that game is so good too. Very eerie setting and definitely the scariest Re game I’ve played
DrGonzo1937 03.08.26	Never really gelled with 7. It was fine. FPS doesn’t go with RE imo, and the characters were a bit meh. I liked village though.
MO 03.09.26	its better than the other modern RE games. doesn't come close to the originals tho

Gameofmetal 03.09.26	Really loved it, pretty immediately in my top 3, which is interchangeably all top 1. The orphanage part is kinda lame I guess. Initially I thought it felt like it was climaxing for like 4 hours straight but on second playthrough I felt way more relaxed with the pacing.

smaugman 03.09.26	idk gonzo...i've completed RE1 and RE0 (remakes/remaster) and recently attempted to replay RE1 again, and i almost instantly gave up because the gameplay is simply terrible. while the first is a classic in the sense it started the whole thing, the newer games are much more enjoyable imo because of the vastly improved gameplay
twlight 03.09.26	I’ve also mostly only played the remakes. RE2r was my first re game and I fell in love with the franchise. I have played the OG 4 and love it but that’s the only OG I’ve played My current ranking of top 5 would be 1. Re2r 2. Re requiem 3. Re4r 4. Re7 5. Village
ConcubinaryCode 03.10.26	Something I haven't seen talked about is how solid the soundtrack is. The remix of the rpd theme was superb I enjoyed Leon's combat tracks too. I need to add the soundtracks on here sometime

BAT 03.10.26	yeah requiem has the best soundtrack of the re:engine games, it's either re3r or 7 for second place. generally play re2r/re4r with the old soundtrack/sfx dlcs lol. they aren't bad persay but they're very understated to highlight the excellent sound design

DrGonzo1937 03.10.26	"idk gonzo...i've completed RE1 and RE0 (remakes/remaster) and recently attempted to replay RE1 again, and i almost instantly gave up because the gameplay is simply terrible. while the first is a classic in the sense it started the whole thing, the newer games are much more enjoyable imo because of the vastly improved gameplay" it's part of the package. i can overlook the controls and some of the rough gameplay mechanics for its distinct artistic look. currently playing the og re1 and its pretty rough in terms of the above, but the vibe is so good. og re2, outside of its obvious dated areas, is still vastly better than the remake. i honestly don't get the fuss with that and re3 remake, because while they look and play nice, the stories have been eviscerate. re4 remake was the only game that actually expanded and cut stuff from the original in the right way.
