Electronic albums that define my vibe #1('78-'08)
An artist/band's album can shape you a particular mood or vibe. And it can influence on your musical taste. That happened to me. I was a metalcore nerd, a post-hardcore one for a while, I was a death metal nerd from late 2010 until early 2013. That's my biggest regret. In late 2013, electronic music was a complete 180 from where I started. As of now, having listened to 3200 albums is an unexpected result since 2004. It's not bad to revisit the albums I listed previously in Sputnikmusic, if they still stand the test of time ; These are the albums that define my vibe and act as my soundtrack. | | 1 | | Crystal Castles Crystal Castles

01.27.26 | So much good stuff on here, 2-4 and 8 are underappreciated. Your Depeche Mode inclusions are great as well! | Hawks
01.27.26 | 14 the GOAT. | Demon of the Fall
01.27.26 | Nice. Some classics and a few I'm not recognising. I (apparently) didn't like Plastikman tho, so maybe I should re-check that one.
Everyone should hear 35 at least once. Keep up the good work. | Hawks
01.27.26 | "Everyone should hear 35 at least once."
Gonna jam it today! | Ladron93
01.27.26 | wow, it's the first time my list gets to be featured. I wasn't expecting that.
where do I start? Thanks, mkmusic and Demon.
2-4 and 8 are still my fave ones, especially Gas' Pop. Having heard Depeche Mode's entire discography, it was hard to narrow down the albums I like the most for my list.
Dummy is still a goat for a cinematic vibe, Hawks. xP
As for Plastikman, I don't blame you, Demon. I prolly wouldn't add it on this list, but it has been a core part of my soundtrack since January 2014. I still find myself getting lost in tracks like Locomotion or Passage Out every now and then.
And I concur. 35 is an album that I lose myself into an alternative digital world. Or...it gives me an ENA vibe, a mix of retro-digital and surreal. | zakalwe
01.27.26 | Your Silent Face is a good shout.
Amazing song from an outstanding album. | RunOfTheMill
01.27.26 | Gotta czech some of these, you left soem good recs on my electronics recs list. I'm not big on early Depeche Mode though | Hyperion1001
01.27.26 | good list 33 rocks. | gabba
01.27.26 | That Plastikman album was one of my favorites to be played on rotation while studying for exams, and it worked like a charm. Very hypnotik, great pick! | Aids
01.27.26 | no Darude lmao whatever dude | Ladron93
01.27.26 | thanks, Hyperion and RunOfTheMill.
that's awesome, gabba. ^^ | cylinder
01.27.26 | very cool list. have you heard Japan - Tin Drum? might be your vibe | Ladron93
01.28.26 | I did, cylinder. It's pretty nice, but I personally pick Gentlemen Take Polaroids. | markjamie
01.28.26 | 1 and 7 are elite. 8 is great too. Lots of other good stuff here as well. |
