Donchivo: Chivito's top 15 of 2025

Donchivo 01.23.26	This year i was kneedeep in Free and experimental Jazz of the 1950s to 1970s and also kinda busy with non musical aspects of life... Misssed to even check out a lot of promising stuff...
Demon of the Fall 01.23.26	SH at #1 is interesting. As a rather enthusiastic fan of their previous work I didn't find it all that remarkable. EPs are strange beasts however, so I'm still hyped for their next full-length. 10, 11 & 14 are all v good. Props for Neptunian Maximalism in particular because not as many people seem to dig 'em. I love Eons and their latest was enjoyable also. Fairly unique band from what I can gather.
Donchivo 01.23.26	Yeah bro, Suffering Hour sure is quite different from the past albums. I really dig the combination of shorter straight forward songs (song structure and drumming wise) but still applying labyrinthine and weird sounding Guitar Magick with it. To me this approach works and it also did splendidly in live setting. Still, in previous years, this might not have taken the number 1 spot as it sits maybe around 4.1 or 4.2 for me... Yeah NNMM is awesome, they were another one of those concert highlights this year! If you haven't checked 'em yet, I could imagine Dormant Ordeal and Wyatt E. might be up your alley, Demon!
