01.06.26 | Doof has 85% impeccable taste and is a top bloke. In real life as well I may add.

01.06.26 | This is cool, I like this idea.
Doof is one of the most down-to-earth guys on the site and has prob helped shape my listening habits more than most. One of a small handful of users who’s given me a reason to stick around over the years. Dude also listens to an insane amount of music. I thought I had a problem until I looked at his # of ratings lol. |

01.06.26 | Doof was the first user I recognized after seeing his comments all over the place, and he was probably also the first one I interacted with. His lists are a great source of inspiration, but I just don't get how he can watch soooo many TV shows while listening to those albums, unless he does everything simultaneously. Superpowers, I guess. |

01.07.26 | I don't really comment that much and hardly know anyone here, but when I was newish I gave Doof a hard time over a review. I have since apologised, and now I have the utmost respect for the guy.
Doof, your love of music and depth of knowledge is inspirational. Thank you. |

01.07.26 | I always thought Doof was Daniel Day-Lewis' Sput name. In all seriousness, I love the guy, he was really supportive when I released my solo album back when I had just joined the site and he was contributor. I always appreciated his honest opinions even when it meant going against the current and he's one of my favorite writers of the old guard. Much love Doofus. |

01.07.26 | Doof is a real one. Spurs fan and enjoyer of metal on occasions and same vintage as me. Don’t apologise for new MH btw Doof, it was a guiltfree jam |

01.07.26 | Doof has always been friendly to me, so I'd say he's sincerely a nice guy. Always open to discuss things in good faith too. Seems to have good/diverse taste and despite a slight boomer facade, he's actually is quite exploratory of modern music
Mostly importantly he's the only Sputniker other than myself that I know listened to Foetus's 2025 album Halt, and although he thought it was only a 3, even having listened to it at all means he's worthy of praise
But yeah check Halt. 3.87 average on RYM with 92 votes |

Ars, I need to revisit, I even got the digital download so no excuse |
Demon of the Fall
01.07.26 | A monumental digester of music, Doof is relentless. The surprising thing is, he will often offer insightful dissection on a large collection of music (likes OR dislikes) to the point where you're thinking he might have actually heard it.
I also enjoy the fact he's obsessive over cataloguing and produces real effort-posting lists from time-to-time to go alongside his numerous reviews.
For a Spurs fan, he's alright (that was tough to say!) |
