11.13.25 | haven't played KCD2 yet, but I doubt it would top Expedition 33 for me. Silksong is amazing, but Clair Obscur is such a unique experience with such a great story, I can't imagine any other game deserving it more. |

I haven’t played it but I’ve been burnt out on games for a while and just last night was deeply considering getting COE33 because it was on sale. It looks absolutely gorgeous and the writing seems fascinating. I’m just not generally a fan of turn-based RPGs…
I tried playing Hollow Knight after Silksong dropped because I couldn’t resist the hype anymore and WOW. “Let’s attach Dark Souls-level difficulty and backtracking to a platformer.” Again, absolutely gorgeous game but actually playing it is SO tedious. Doing a whole deadly 10-minute run back to the boss EVERY time you die is ridiculous. |

11.13.25 | I just got a new gaming PC a couple weeks ago so haven’t had time to play everything, although I’ve been enjoying the fuck out of Tainted Grail: Fall of Avalon. It’s probably the best Bethesda style RPG to come out since Morrowind or New Vegas. It’s everything I was hoping Obsidian’s “Avowed” would be and more. |

11.13.25 | Very Souls heavy year as was last year for me, played all the games excluding Demon’s back in spring. Didn’t have WiFi all summer so I was just replaying old games on my old consoles in between writing reviews and doing farm work/home renovation. Oblivion remaster wasn’t as good as the original that’s my hot take for the year. |
