Top 10 Britpop Albums

I have done a britpop list years back. but i have changed a lot and dont agree with it anymore. Here is a re-do. It took me quite a while to get into britpop. most records took me quite a few listens. I guess it is that british style that took a bit of warming up for me.
10Supergrass
I Should Coco

A burst of youthful energy, '60s garage rock, and pure pop fun, featuring the hit "Alright."
9Elastica
Elastica

A sharp, concise, and incredibly catchy debut drawing heavily on post-punk and New Wave influences.
8The Verve
Urban Hymns

The emotional comedown of the era. Bittersweet Symphony is a lot bigger then this album but people that dared to look closer found a surprisingly amazing record from front to back.
7Oasis
Definitely Maybe

A raw, confident debut that promised the rock 'n' roll star life. It sometimes gets mentioned as the best Oasis album but for me it's a little to inconsistend.
6Blur
Modern Life Is Rubbish

This is one of the first britpop records i tried and i didn't get it. I tried to like it again and again until these songs got stuck in my head and now i know it by heart and I think it's amazing.
5Pulp
Different Class

Jarvis Cocker's lyrical masterpiece, capturing the era's social and class tension. Features the anthem Common People.
4Suede
Suede

It was a bit of a toss up between this one and the next one. Ultimately I love Dog Man Star more but this one started it all and is itself also a masterpiece.
3Suede
Dog Man Star

The most underrated of britpop records. It is an intense dramatic and orchestral rock album. It has it all, pop songs, drama and the epic Asphalt World.
2Blur
Parklife

The most British britpop record. this took a little while to get but eventuelly it got into my head and stayed there. Whitty, observational and full of character.
1Oasis
(What's the Story) Morning Glory?

While in the beginning i was a bit aprehensive to calling this the best britpop album but nowadays I can't deny it. it's a banger front to back and one of the best records to just put on when you are with someone in the car. As it's a sound most people like and has absolutely no skips.
