11.05.25 | I respect Skyforger at 12. I've seen so much love for that album, and to me, it's not bad, but I feel like it gets more love than Silent Waters in many cases. I remember listening to Silent Waters and fucking loving it, especially after Eclipse, which I also think is a great album. That one especially doesn't get enough praise. Skyforger was a disappointment for me back then, and I have the same opinion of it after re-listening recently. I don't understand how any fan of the band would rank that higher than SW. Skyforger does have some excellent, catchy tunes, but it was a regression, and a very safe record. |
