11.03.25 | Let me think...
We have new Testament (Para Bellum) and Cryptopsy (An Insatiable Violence) and they hit with great force.
New In Mourning (The Immortal). They play melancholic proggy melodeath, might be your thing as far as I can tell.
Gypsy's Kiss have just released an album (Piece by Piece). You know, Steve Harris' original band. Somewhat Ironous and certainly solid hard rock, though not in the database yet.
Calyces too, they are an early Mastodon-esque band from Greece. Fleshy Waves of Probability sure goes hard.
If you're in mood for some doom there's new albums by Hooded Menace and Faetooth. The former put out some crushing death-doom, well liked though I'm personally not taken. The latter feels really evil, I'd say it's more atmospheric and stonery.
A little older, The Summer That Will Not Come by Eternal White Trees. Some Katatonia vibes but they're more on the gothic side rather than doom. They have another album from this year but that one's pretty bad.
I'm not sure about your relationship with Pallbearer but I think their 2024 album is solid and now they're about to release a remix/remaster/whatever-that-thing-is of Foundations.
Speaking of announcements, new Karnivool should drop next January. You seem to like their previous work and the new singles step into the Sound Awake territory.
I hope this helps. | solrage
11.04.25 | ^ Awesome, definitely helps! Testament and Cryptopsy will be definite listens very soon. Others will go on the list for later. |
