JoyfulPlatypus 09.08.25	Yeesh, I wish my year was this good lol but it has been pretty solid. Can't say for sure with 3 months still left to go, but I'd say it's at least been a better year than both 2024 and 2023.

Kusangii 09.09.25	Music died in 1993. Only 12 good albums have been released since then (most of them in 1994, being already recorded by 1993). Music achieved its creative peak in albums like Onward to Golgotha, Pure Holocaust, and The Red in the Sky is Ours, elevating music into a legitimate art form. Now, thanks to Slaughter of the Soul and Gojira, all its potential was squandered and music has been reduced into being mere gimmick ridden noise for drunk idiots (i.e. the lowest common denominator - stop trying to turn music into AC/DC).

markjamie 09.09.25	I think it's been pretty average actually. A handful of albums have hit 4.5, but last year was stronger. 2022 was the year for me.

mkmusic1995 09.09.25	Metal has not been my focus for listening this year as it has in previous years. I agree that really great metal releases have been few and far between but I'm also not a death metal aficionado as many of you are so I can't speak to that. I think there have been a lot of left field releases that I wasn't expecting to love as much as I did.
DoofDoof 09.09.25	Could do with something unexpected like The Cure returning last year with a classic album from out of nowhere. I've enjoyed this year but mostly because I've cast that net very wide.
RVAHC13 09.09.25	Not a great year for metal or hardcore but certainly a great year for experimental/art rock, post-punk, slowcore, indie and folk.
