lucazade22: Top 20 (metal) Albums Of 2008

lucazade22 01.06.09	Don't know why but the covers for 9, 11 and 13 are wrong. Anyone know how to change them?
Tool121 01.06.09	If you go on edit list, and then come out of edit list it normally puts different artwork on from a different album with the same name.
lucazade22 01.06.09	thanks for that...13 is sorted. 9 and 11 don't show up but I'd rather the artwork not show up than be wrong. Comments on the list? It has a bit of everything I think. Only metal genres not covered are power metal and hardcore. Maybe doom too but Daylight dies is definitely quite bleak/doom-ish!!

lucazade22 01.06.09	I don't really listen to much apart from metal. I don't mind the odd song but don't actually go out and buy the albums. Plus, The Bronx isn't metal.

lucazade22 01.06.09	Never really liked 36 Crazyfists before but I gave their new one a chance and it's really good. What's wrong with Death Angel? And Nostradamus may have its flaws but it's got some good tracks. And I love Abigail Williams lol. I hated Scar Symmetry's last album (previous one to holographic universe) so I didn't get their new one.
BallsToTheWall 01.06.09	Agree with South. Alot of these are crappy, but a lot are good too. Eluveitie, Daylight Dies, Benea Reach, etc. The Ocean is from 2007.
lucazade22 01.06.09	I know it's from 2007 but in the UK it didn't actually come out until well into 2008 so I included it in my list :P It's like The Faceless new album. Can't wait for it but it comes out end of feb in the UK!
BallsToTheWall 01.06.09	Kind of like how the new Deadlock album came out in Europe last November but in the U.S.A it comes out on January 23rd I believe. Check out the new Enslaved album for a masterpiece.
lucazade22 01.06.09	Damn record labels...!!! Never been a great fan of Enslaved. When I heard some songs off Ruun I didn't really like them that much. I haven't listened to Vertebrae yet. I might get it though seeing as there aren't any interesting new albums out in jan (don't think so anyway).
myhigherpie 01.06.09	a lot of these are generic. Some of these are fantastic. you're missing quite a bit. Check Meshuggah's Obzen, Enslaveds Vertebrae, Arghoslents the hornets of the Pogrom, Opeth's Watershed, and Protest the Hero's Fortress.
lucazade22 01.06.09	As much as I've tried I can't really get into Meshuggah or Opeth. Protest the Hero...I hear it got great reviews especially on this site. I'll probably give it a try. Never heard of Arghoslents. Oh...and I see you have In Mourning on your end of year list. I ordered it online yesterday. I missed it when it came out earlier this year. I hope it's as good as you say it is!!
