06.26.25 | don't like to toot my own horn but i am really proud of my bmth review i did last year, first one in forever, first negative one and by far my longest. give it a read! kind of got lost in the shuffle. i would like to write more but i'm a perfectionist. if something doesn't grab me right away and i don't have an interesting opening it's hard to for me to force one out even though i know i technically could with ease.

i also am still quite fond of some of my older reviews namely my moirai, dillinger, joyce manor and ab-soul ones. two personal, one very satisfyingly succinct and one is my only rap rev. |

06.26.25 | Yeah Hawks, that Sigh review is excellent. Very well worded, flows extremely well! And Futures, I just read the BMTH one, very awesome stuff. It's definitely long but extremely thorough, lots of good points and you have a very pleasant writing "voice." And I totally feel you on the perfectionist side of things, I've thrown away at least 20 reviews because I just could not be happy with them. |

I've stopped writing nearly as many reviews as I used to, but this one (my most recent) was one I was super proud of. It was also very difficult because of just HOW many different/conflicting thoughts I had about the album.
Futures, I'm like you man; I wanna write more but I'm my harshest critic most of the time. Even had the moderators delete most of the reviews I wrote back when I was in HS because I was embarrassed by them. |

and mk, plat i'm glad that i'm not alone in that respect. if i don't have a clear angle or personal tie it's hard to care. i could crank out a standard rev talking strictly about the music any day and it would probably be fine but for me at least there has to be something more. |
