ChuckyTruant: Saw Coheed/Mastodon/Periphery last week

ChuckyTruant 05.28.25	has anyone caught a show on this tour yet? or planning to?
Anthracks 05.28.25	I went on Sunday. It was awesome. My third time seeing both Coheed and Mastodon. Wasn’t my favorite setlist for Coheed, but it’s really cool to see there are just as many fans of the new stuff as the old stuff. Very heartening to see young people still connecting with a band that I first connected with in youth for entirely different reasons. Really loved the venue they played at, too. There were like 20+ food trucks for some reason?
ShapeOfJizzToCum 05.28.25	I'll give you some solidarity that Periphery are very good live. Spencer can be hit or miss but when he's on he's very much on and the rest of the band is always flawless, also fun to watch, they always seem to be having a blast, particularly Misha.
ChuckyTruant 05.28.25	Sick! I caught the show in Huntsville, AL @ Orion Ampitheater. Really sick venue. I wish they had 20 foodtrucks though, ended up $17 for some mid sliders and some potato wedges lol Agreed in that it was cool seeing so many different folks around. Really, it's 3 very different bands but all 3 seem to attract similar fans. Saw some dads with their kids even, super dope
ChuckyTruant 05.28.25	Dude Jizz, Spencer was VERY ON. Bias aside, his vocals were nearly spot on to how he sounds on record. I was very impressed.
Emim 05.28.25	Coheed is sick live, but the other two were lame when I saw them.

bowlermicah 05.28.25	I went to the Huntsville show too, all three bands were great. Spencer definitely was on that night, and I commented to my friend that they honestly sounded better than I expected, and I like Periphery a lot. I'd definitely like to see a bigger set from them. Mastodon was great. It was my first time seeing them so I'm not sure how it sounds compared to when Brent was still with them. There seemed to be a little lack of stage presence from the new guy, but that's expected. He played well for sure though. Interesting setlist with some deep cuts I wasn't totally familiar with. This was my 11th time seeing Coheed. Fantastic as always. New songs sound great. Sneaking in Everything Evil and Domino were definitely the highlights for me.
