04.27.25 | appreciate it! Let me know what you think |
Vercetti
04.27.25 | Is and I could finally see the forest for the trees your heaviest song yet? I think it is |
CugnoBrasso
04.27.25 | The cover artwork reminds me of an indie stop-motion movie that I always wanted to see but never actually got around to, The Wolf House.
I'll give it a spin. |
auberginedreams
04.27.25 | Thanks! That’s kind of the vibe I was going for, an uncanny valley kind of vibe
Yes the last track on here is definitely the heaviest one I’ve made so far, I used a 7 string guitar on it |
ChoccyPhilly
04.27.25 | This is fantastic. Love the dynamism between some of the more twinkly indie emo core then to some pretty brutal vocals. Glad to see you keep making music too!
Will definitely support this through Bandcamp and hope you keep going and developing! |
auberginedreams
04.27.25 | thanks dude! that really means a lot, I will definitely keep making music. I’m glad you liked the juxtaposition of softer and heavier stuff, it’s a difficult balance to get down where it’s surprising to the listener but not too gimmicky and off putting |

04.28.25 | there’s a bit of black metal influence on the last track you might appreciate haha m/ |
DungeonBoy
04.28.25 | This is really good, dude. Lots of creativity and genre blending on display while not really sounding like anything else I've heard. Production is pretty good, your vocals are excellent, lots of really great syncopation, and your sense of melody is excellent. A bit scatterbrained in songwriting in each individual song, a lot of here's a part, here's another part, here's another part, etc. but it kinda works in a stream of conscious way that feels fairly through composed for better or worse. I dig it though |
Retter42
04.28.25 | I'm really liking this. I'm now listening to your older stuff. I need more! |
auberginedreams
04.28.25 | Thank you! Some of the much older stuff has some pretty awful mixing lol but I think the songwriting still holds up |
auberginedreams
04.28.25 | Thanks dungeonboy I really appreciate the detailed feedback! My main sort of concern was how people would feel about all the genre transitions. It’s intentionally jarring to tie in with the title and theme of “a lack of immersion” but I can also see it coming off as too random for some people |
GreyShadow
04.28.25 | this feels like the exact direction i wanted you to take following your last release. truly inspiring stuff dude |
CugnoBrasso
04.28.25 | It's much closer to metalcore compared to your previous release, or is it me?
Some of the keyboard arrangements are very good and I love the way you mixed them! |
Vercetti
04.28.25 | "It's much closer to metalcore compared to your previous release, or is it me?"
I thought the same and I like it |
auberginedreams
04.28.25 | Yeah there’s definitely more metalcore influence this time! Tbh I’ve wanted to try something more metalcore-leaning for quite a while but it took me a long time to figure out the production aspect of it |
Lasssie
05.01.25 | Remember liking your previous albums a lot. So looking forward to checking it out |
