Hats off to Trajan Langdon and J.B. Bickerstaff (and I suppose Tom Gores for finally having the balls to admit he doesn't know wtf he's doing and actually hiring people that do). They were such a fun team to watch all year this year.

That'll be a fun matchup vs. Houston, but a Lakers-Warriors series would rock the world. God I'd love to see that.

In the east, I'll be watching Detroit - Knicks, I'm interested if the Pistons can pull off a long series. As for the west, fuck the Lakers and their fucking privileged lucky asses, I will be a very happy fan once they're bounced (highly doubt it'll be by the Wolves though). But the real stuff worth looking at is Denver - LA and Houston - GS. I got the Nuggets in 7 (fuck Kawhi and Harden, love me some big Zu and Norm tho). As for Houston - GS I'll go Warriors in 6. Though you could convince me both of those could go the other way as well. As for the Jokic conversation, if you watch the games, dude is head and shoulders above literally everyone (in arguably the most competitive period the league has ever had). MVP or no, he's by far the best player. Sure he's not a defensive savant, but to be fair he doesn't even try this year that much because of the load offensively. You can't expect the dude to have 60 point triple doubles or 30-20-20s and put up amazing defensive performances, nobody could ever do that.

You don't beat the hottest team in the last month of the regular season in round 1 and then take a rested Thunder to game 7 if you are not "really that good"

PunkerBlast 06.19.25	It felt like the Pacers really had the stranglehold in the series then they lost Game 4 and well Haliburton is injured his calf and the team just sucked and turned the ball over constantly. Game 5 was strange because they got the the deficit down to two or three points (after being down by nineteen at one point) but then just immediately saw the deficit rise to seven and then eleven. Even major sports stations were like the Pacers are going to win the series before Game 4. While I do have a old love affair with the Pacers I have nothing against OKC.

I didn't mind the Knicks, I would have never started posting here. Equipped with (poor) knowledge I didn't extrapolate on properly.
StormChaser 06.26.25	Always wanted to get into hockey, but since its popularity / exposure outside of North America is so low I always forget about it until I hear podcasters talking about the playoffs during the NBA playoffs. Also seems like a bit of a difficult sport to watch on tv due to the puck size? Another thing that kinda kept me away from it was the fact I don't know shit about the rules and all the little nuances and moves guys are doing in order to score / defend. I wonder if the learning gap is as steep as basketball's is, I really found basketball difficult to grasp in terms of understanding all the nuances at first when I started watching it. So if hockey is simpler to just enjoy and watch with understanding I might give it a go

I'm really happy for OKC, a team built responsibly with players that at least appear to operate with humility, but that Pacers team is the one we all go away thinking about for a reason. At least the Celtics already won a chip...it's entirely possible that one or more of Nembhard / Nesmith / Mathurin aren't here when Hali gets back. Or TJ falls off, Turner gets traded...it just really feels like this will go down as one of the great what-if moments of the decade.
