Shitpost bands that transcended

Sometimes, bands that started out as a joke, became better at the thing they parodied than "serious" bands. Just listened to a friend's "joke" band this weekend that I gotta admit, I enjoy a whole lot more than his other bands, which gave me the idea for this list. Feel free to add examples.
1The KLF
The White Room

The KLF straight up perfected stadium trance/rave despite trying to mock it. A super example of how deconstruction can actually add a lot more to the whole.
2Stormtroopers of Death
Speak English or Die

SOD is the other side of the coin. It's not approaching the crossover thrash scene on an intellectual, but an instinctual level. Banged out over a couple of days by dudes from more successful bands, it feels a lot more fun and honest simply because there is no filter that thrash bands usually shoot themselves in the foot with.
3Laibach
Opus Dei

I'm not entirely convinced that Laibach could ever be called a "shitpost" band, but their stuff has a lot more humour to it than seems at first. They obviously have a lot of parody and irony in their work.
