Miller’s solo stuff and stuff with Miles is great, but hearing him completely in the pocket on a low down disco or boogie track focusing on entirely serving the song is something else entirely to Silver Rain. I think one of the most underrated of Miller’s qualities is his overall sense of taste as a player and arranger. |
