I decided not to consider Opeth whereas Seven did, for example Persefone seems weird to me here tbh, but Core is a beastly album and RYM has that one tagged as straight 'DM', so fine to include I guess

Looks like I'm 9 for 10 when comparing my top 10 to the average by points, which makes my taste pretty vanilla ig. Disagree on the separation of prog and non-prog dm, although Opeth does look like the odd one out when listed along with those other popular picks.
