So yeah, we’re topping that list. But lemme say in the 27 years that I’ve lived here I’ve never felt unsafe in my city. It’s just like anywhere else, mind ur fuckin business, keep your head up, and you’re usually good. Never had my windows smashed, never been robbed etc… and I really don’t live in like that good of a neighborhood. Oh and fuck the avalanche

LucretiaMyReflection 01.04.25	If you want good STL pizza, yeah IMOs is overrated and spotty since they’re all franchised. You’d be better off trying one of the older family owned places or like Schottzies. Also hard agree - I’ve never had an issue in all the years I’ve been here. I live in South City in the SOHA/Princeton Heights area and have since 2017. Always felt safe. We unfortunately get a lot of our stats from North City and specific areas that don’t necessarily translate to the whole city.
LucretiaMyReflection 01.04.25	However there are great places here to get pizza that are not exclusively St. Louis style like Felix’s, Pie Guy, Anthonino’s, Pizza Head, Onesto, Blackthorn, Pointers, Dewey’s, Etc.

LucretiaMyReflection 01.04.25	Veldin - dive in my friend. There’s lots of ones here to check out. Wildcard - do you know Jake, Jack, Soots, Jon, or Kevin? Jmal- depends on size I guess. Platypus and The Sinkhole are both favorites for smaller shows but Pops is decent, The Pageant, and Red Flag are solid for those more mid sized ones. I actually have become fond of The Factory, I saw King Diamond there in October and it was rad. But BOY DO I MISS THE FIREBIRD.

It’s an absolute shithole, which normally that’s where I thrive, but with their security you’d think you’re at the fuckin pageant. I really don’t think the sound is all that good either, saw Carcass opening a couple of months back and I think it would’ve sounded like a mess if I didn’t know the songs. My vote goes to Off Broadway, it’s not even really close for me. Love that place.
