Wildcardbitchesss 01.02.25	I was working and a majority of the patrons are upper middle class gen x and boomers, and one of them said the funniest fucking thing I’ve heard in a minute. Right after that Smashing Pumpkins performance this dumb lady really went “You won’t see anything that good being played at the Super Bowl!” I’m usually pretty good about holding my tongue when some wine mom spouts out the dumbest fucking thing you’ve ever heard but my god I really had to stop myself from roasting the fuck out of her. Billy sounded fucking terrible lmao Anyways go blues

DominionMM1 01.02.25	“disappointing relative to expectations though right? people talked him up like a crosby or ovi.” yeah maybe. i mean he was probably the most hyped prospect coming into the draft since mcdavid and he certainly hasn’t played to that level but he hasn’t had teammates around him to pick up the slack. crosby had malkin. mcdavid had draisaitl. bedard has teravainen and tyler bertuzzi. and again it takes some time for some guys. mackinnon won the calder but then had 3 relatively disappointing seasons before he really broke out and became the perennial mvp candidate he’s been for the last half dozen years or so.

ShadowRemains 01.02.25	the problem with bedard is that he is not an exceptional skater like mcdavid, crosby, or ovechkin in their primes
Hawks 01.02.25	Crosby would've been the exact player he still is now even if Malkin wasn't there though tbh. Glad he was though. I've gotten to witness a lot of great moments as a Pittsburgh sports fan. Very grateful for that.

DominionMM1 01.02.25	crosby was never an exceptional skater at least relative to guys like mackinnon and mcdavid. his biggest attributes were (and still are) his hands, strength, vision, and overall work ethic.
Hawks 01.02.25	I agree with your second point but I would say he was just as good of a skater as those guys in his prime easily. He was just so great at everything else as well that it didn't get talked about as much tbh. Also the game wasn't as built on speed as it is now when Crosby was first coming into the league. I've watched him skate circles around dudes though lol.

Hawks 01.02.25	Agreed about the 2009 cup run. Geno was masterful. Man still get goosebumps thinking of it. Steelers just won the Super Bowl too. Great times.
