11.13.24 | I haven't interacted with Slex too much but the moments I have in any thread it has always been a positive and kind interaction. Love having that around! Even if we disagree too it comes out in a very cordial discussion which unfortunately tends to be a negative slate on this site if there's a disagreement. Always appreciate anyone that can be mature about it and know we're here to just love and enjoy music together or see differences in opinion and Slex does that very well. We got some pretty similar taste in music too for the most part which is always great of course. |

Won't pretend to understand how he's recurrent turned the other cheek to the site when it's been caustic to him (be it the usual inflammatory political schtick, personal attacks on his own support list, or a bad actor behind the scenes using his discog-1 on a Capitol riot band to phone in a full wipe of thousands of ratings), but I'm always glad to see him around, cheerily espousing whatever common ground is keeping such a dysfunctional mess of people here at all. Makes me think of TheSpirit (RIP) in that sense, one of those rare figures who seemingly radiates whatever improbable it-factor made this site a worthwhile enterprise in the first place. He was also one of the standout contrib writers of his shift, and a lot of his writes from back then are v much missed as such — UFOF, main pop girl 2019, Clairvoyant in particular if memory serves |
