07.19.24 | Hell yes, Disciplin A Kitschme is very special to me, my introduction was during a 10 hrs drive with this being on loop, a transcendental experience. Genre-wise it is a melting pot, I've added it because you mentioned funk, but it also has elements of drum and bass, among others. To me "I've Got Those Teknicolor Eyes" is their "Bela Lugosi's Dead" considering its structure and guitar work. The album's very dense and exhausting at times, but they can't really stop, can they? |
zakalwe
07.19.24 | Nice one Gabba. Sounds interesting I’m going to give it a go. |

07.19.24 | Harlem River Drive - s/t is a great blend of deep funk, psych soul and Latin jazz, feat Eddie Palmieri and Bernard Purdie. Hmu for more weird funk or soul recs if you want - it’s sort of a special interest area of mine. |

07.21.24 | Glad you enjoyed 19-21 so much man. Interesting take on REDHELLY tho. Would your opinion sway at all if i told you it’s all completely freestyled? |
widowslaugh123
07.22.24 | Yeah I guess that would sway it a little. I try to not do any research or anything on these so the first impression pure or whatever. That does make a little bit of sens tho. There was some really cool ideas on it. I’ll give it another listen |

07.24.24 | Couple updates |
mkmusic1995
07.24.24 | The Mother of Invention album is one of their earliest works so it's a bit rough around the edges which I do appreciate. If you did like the instrumentation, I'd recommend some of their later records as well as some of Frank Zappa's late 60's, early 70's records. |

08.30.24 | I asked ChatGPT and I kid you not, this was the answer:
"The user "budgie" on Sputnikmusic is widely disliked due to a combination of behavior that many community members find irritating or confrontational. This includes consistently making inflammatory or provocative comments and engaging in arguments that often escalate beyond typical online disagreements. Some users feel that budgie's comments can come off as abrasive or insensitive, particularly in discussions involving sensitive topics. Additionally, budgie's tendency to engage in back-and-forth exchanges that derail threads or lead to hostile environments has only worsened their reputation on the platform.
Another contributing factor is that budgie seems to persistently insert themselves into ongoing disputes or discussions, often in a way that others perceive as unproductive or antagonistic. This has led to a general sentiment that budgie's presence detracts from the community experience rather than enhancing it."
Gotta admit that's pretty amazing. This calls for a list. |
Egarran
08.30.24 | Naturally, to verify its objectivity I also asked about me:
"The user "Egarran" on Sputnikmusic has garnered significant attention and popularity among the community for several reasons. First, Egarran is known for his prolific activity on the site, with tens of thousands of comments and hundreds of album ratings. His opinions are often marked by a mix of sharp wit, humor, and a sometimes-irreverent tone that resonates with many users. This unique style, combined with his deep engagement in discussions, has helped him stand out as a memorable and influential figure on the platform.
Additionally, Egarran's eclectic taste in music, which spans a wide array of genres, contributes to his appeal. He frequently offers thoughtful and sometimes unexpected takes on albums, which adds to the lively discussions on the site. His ability to balance serious critique with humor has made him a favorite among both new and long-time users of the site." |
