My Favourite 3 Album Runs
Including all runs that where nothing is lower than a 4.5 and at least one 5 (+Including some Honourable Mentions).
List not in any specific order. |
| 1 | | In Flames The Jester Race
Whoracle
Colony |
| 2 | | Faith No More The Real Thing
Angel Dust
King For a Day, Fool For a Lifetime |
| 3 | | Caligula's Horse Bloom
In Contact
Rise Radiant |
| 4 | | Opeth My Arms, Your Hearse
Still Life
Blackwater Park |
| 5 | | Children of Bodom Hatebreeder
Follow the Reaper
Hate Crew Deathroll |
| 6 | | The Dillinger Escape Plan Option Paralysis
One of Us Is the Killer
Dissociation |
| 7 | | Avatar Black Waltz
Hail the Apocolypse
Feathers & Flesh
HM - This does comply with the parameters that I made but I haven't listened to these albums in full in a while so I can see my ratings drop. |
| 8 | | Deafheaven New Bermuda
Ordinary Corrupt Human Love
Infinite Granite
HM - I have New Bermuda at a 4 currently but I can see myself bumping it to a 4.5. |
| 9 | | The Hirsch Effekt Holon: Anamnesis
Holon: Agnosie
Eskapist
HM - Anamnesis is great but still yet to push past a 4 for me. If Kollaps didn't exist and Urian was their 5th album instead, Urian would end of this album run. |
| 10 | | Iron Maiden The Number of the Beast
Piece of Mind
Powerslave
HM - I feel like any combination of 80s Iron Maiden album is an obvious choice here but again, none fit my parameters. Shame Back to Village is on Powerslave as then this would not only be eligible but be a contender for the best 3 album run. |
| 11 | | Mr. Bungle Mr. Bungle
Disco Volante
California
HM - Disco Volante has still yet to fully click with me but the other two are some of the best albums ever made. |
| 12 | | Agalloch Pale Folklore
The Mantle
Ashes Against the Grain
HM - Haven't listened to Pale Folklore in ages and honestly can barely remember it outside my opinion of it being very positive. If EPs were allowed, The White would close this run off easily. |
| 13 | | Deftones Saturday Night Wrist
Diamond Eyes
Koi No Yokan
HM - Again, this is technically eligible but my Deftones phase calmed down 2 years ago and I barely gone back to them since. So I have no clue if I still think these albums are worthy of the 5s and 4.5s I currently have them at. |
