The iPhone is... well... an iPhone. I loved the couple of iPods I had (80gb and 160gb). Felt betrayed when Apple pulled the plug on them. There are other options now for offline digital music, but have also just found myself naturally falling down the Spotify route. iTunes had a sweet spot too, before automatic updates fucked that as well.

Best sound/bass I've ever heard from a boombox and it had a fantastic design, but over time the cassette player developed a reversible mechanical aging condition, which went as follows: If I hadn't played any tape for a very long time, the cassette player moving parts underwent some extremely weird aging, which translated to complete inability to reproduce the music in the tape. The only remedy was to fast-forward/rewind the tape multiple times in a row, which in some weird way and over time, enabled the cassette player to work as expected. To keep the cassette player working, I had to spin tapes every single day, otherwise I got back to square one. It was as if the contraption needed the exercise to keep working, which was totally absurd!!!...
