Most Anticipated Heavy records
I'm assuming these bands will be releasing new records this year. Some of them are already announced, some I'm just praying for. |
1 | | Viscera (NED) Obsidian
The two singles they've released this year, "Carcinogenesis" and "Rats With Wings" are excellent and make me super stoked for a new record from these guys. |
2 | | The Amity Affliction Youngbloods
I'm surprised to announce that I'm actually super excited to hear a new record from these guys. The two singles I've heard from them recently, "I See Dead People" and "Show Me Your God" are awesome heavy tracks. If they stay in that lane, I anticipate an easy 4. |
3 | | Periphery Periphery V: Djent Is Not a Genre
The singles have been fucking killer so far, I'm really pumped for this one! |
4 | | Sleep Token Sundowning
I might not be as hyped as some people on this band but I'm definitely on the bandwagon to a certain extent. This band has an interesting, unique take on the genre and their vocalist is quite original. The songs released so far range from excellent to meh but I'm still excited to see where this new record ends up. |
5 | | Kamelot Poetry for the Poisoned
The songs they've released this year have a nice blend between modern era Kamelot and classic sounding Kamelot and I'm here for it. Excited to hear the new full length from them. |
6 | | Gideon Milestone
Man, these new songs are heavy as hell and pack a massive punch in the production/mix department. Looking forward to smashing beers on my head to their new record. |
7 | | Ankor White Dragon
The first two songs I've heard from this band song huge and their vocalist is amazing. I'm hoping for an album announcement somewhat soon because this could easily be this years Ithaca or Rolo Tomassi for me. |
8 | | Unearth The Stings of Conscience
Also excited for some classic Massachusetts metalcore, the first single was solid and I'm expecting nothing shy of solid for the entirety of their new record. |
9 | | Kaonashi Dear Lemon House, You Ruined Me: Senior Year
The newest single they released is so addictive, the massive chunkdowns, the mathy, psychotic breaks got me very excited to hear more from this group. |
10 | | Bury Tomorrow The Seventh Sun
Finally, BT are back with their new clean vocalist who has sounded very solid so far and fit in nicely into Bury Tomorrow's sound. I'm hoping for a bit of experimentation but the songs released thus far have been fun. |
