Ahh, the story of me diving into the deeper depths of deathcore continues. If you had told me that not one, but TWO deathcore records would be in my top 10 albums of the year for ANY year, I wouldn't have believed you. This record is so technical but easy to follow in my eyes, and I LOVE Dan's cleans. Too bad he left :(. Looking forward to this new era of EE. |

My God I wasn't expecting this to hit so hard. "Crystal Casket" is so damn heavy and it just absolutely floored me. "The Isnis" and "Origin of Sin" also are among my favorite tracks on the record. |

Dark Sun
VERY emotional record. Proves that you don't need to be heavy to write good metal/alternative music. "Without Me" has arguably one of the best choruses I've ever heard in my life within it. |

Scars For You To Remember
Wasn't expecting a bad I hadn't heard of until this year to be in my top 10 albums of the year. The whole album features incredible breakdowns that had me headbanging the shit out of my neck and spine. Super cool record that I'm glad I was able to check out. |

TRUE POWER
People say that I Prevail could be considered butt rock but I disagree. They are just as much in the metalcore scene as everyone else is. "Bad Things" has an amazing chorus, "Body Bag" is their heaviest song ever written, and "There's Fear In Letting Go" is a perfect album opener. |

Remade In Misery
Super overlooked album this year. I don't recall a lot of people checking it out. Super cool choruses that had me singing in my head for days. Sure, the breakdowns aren't necessarily Earth-shattering, but they do the job. |

Scoring The End Of The World
Super cool and unique record. MIW explores new directions in a good way. I wasn't expecting a Michael Jackson-esque song on here at all, especially on the same record as a track like "Slaughterhouse" which was my #1 song of 2022. |

Wasn't expecting this album to be this high. "Levitate" was a top 10 song for me this year and "I Am Damnation" was a top 10 song for me in 2021. Overall just a classic metalcore album. |

THE DEATH OF PEACE OF MIND
Best album Bad Omens has created thus far. Minus a couple of more basic tracks, every song on this record is single material. I can see this band going far in their careers. |

The Hell We Create
Every song is a banger. One of the best and most emotional albums I've ever heard in my life. Honestly could be a hot take tbh. Not many people had this in their top 5 or even top 10. |
