10.29.22 | What do you think of it? The Autopsy was my favorite so far | TalonsOfFire
10.30.22 | Overall liked the series quite a bit, and agree with most viewers that The Autopsy is by far the best. Looking forward to Del Toro's Pinocchio. If they do a season 2, some cool directors they could pick are Oz Perkins, Kevin Kölsch / Dennis Widmyer, Michael Dougherty, Karyn Kusama, Richard Kelly, Nicolas Wending Refn, David Robert Mitchell, and Lukas Feigelfeld.
1. Lot 36 - Kind of repetitive and slow moving but the climax is great, tho the very end is a little underwhelming. 6/10
2. Graveyard Rats - Devilishly enjoyable and great creature stuff. 7/10
3. The Autopsy - Loved this, probably the best horror short ever made and suitably gnarly. Reminded me of a great, underrated 80s sci-fi alien parasite movie with Kyle Maclachlan called The Hidden. 8/10
4. The Outside - Bizarre, dull, repetitive, way too long. 4/10
5. Pickman's Model - Not very engaging but okay atmosphere. 5/10
6. Dreams in the Witch House - Enjoyable enough ghost story. Cool to see this story adapted after how influential it was on movies like Poltergeist, a scene in Doctor Sleep, and an episode of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Liked the creature and witch designs. 6/10
7. The Viewing - Very cool cosmic horror short from Panos Cosmatos. 7/10
8. The Murmuring - Nothing special but well acted and well told ghost story with human drama, themes of grief and regret, overcoming tragedy etc. things we've seen many times now in elevated horror. 6/10 | combustion07
10.30.22 | Added this to my list last night and love me some Del Toro. Especially excited to see The Autopsy now after seeing a comparison to The Hidden which is very underrated | Thalassic
11.01.22 | The Autopsy, Pickman's Model and The Viewing were my favorites of this bunch | MoM
11.01.22 | Haven’t seen episodes 4, 5, and 8, but I’m enjoying these! 7 is my favorite so far, followed by 3 | Krpa
11.04.22 | I find this series to be weak so far. Made it to episode 5, which was OK but just barely. I could say the same for episodes 1 and 2, but 3 and 4 were quite tiresome (4 is outstandingly bad, though).
I wish the lot of these actually have some scares ot at least decent atmosphere to go with them, but they all kinda fly by without leaving any impression whatsoever. Only ep 4 was actively annoying so I counted minutes until it finally ended. | Sharenge
11.04.22 | i thought you were a connoisseur this is not the cabinet of dr. caligari |
