irl i am typically the go to guy for tunes, sending out albums/songs to friends that i think they'd like/that made me think of them (they're p normie and in return i'll get, say, a deafheaven tune or something similar as a sign of solidarity) do u actually listen to recs when given, here or elsewhere? even further, say u click on someone's sput profile and see their recently rated, u ever peep any of that shit?

The Morning Sun and the End of the World

raw (and i mean fuckn r.a.w.) skramz ala orchid on test. sniped this one after stumbling to leddsledd's pf, checked cuz the name is so cornball and i'm a slut for that shit
2Gudsforladt
Friendship, Love and War

i think TheSpirit (BScott) is a leading sputter in < 1k monthly listeners on spotify black metal. when he cooms over an album, everyone should witness. gudsforladt is no diff

Days As Echoes

ordinarily when i see a pie consisting predominately of experimental/jazz/folk, etc. i cringe and look away as quickly as possible before i get bullied and/or called a pussy by someone who prolly smokes non-filtered cigarettes and writes in a pocket journal, but boy howdy did arf come thru on my jazz list with incredible recs (and, of course, everybody else who threw their recs in, much appreciated). i'm sure they can explain this album better, but this is legitimately one of the most chillest albums i've ever heard w/o being banal or trying too hard
4Zhou Xun
偶遇

wtf is mandopop? pop in mandarin chinese of course u silly. i didn't listen to this album, but the 2003 one before this. dialed down fishmans vibe with a surprising amount of 90s femgrunge similar to garbage. thanks JohnthanWellington
5Siege
Drop Dead

early 80s hardcore/punk/grind with a sax? 126 votes @ a 4 rating? a random ryus bump brought me into contact with this objectively 5 album
6Roy Montgomery
Scenes From the South Island

proto-grouper (they even worked together1) with apparently no sput hype whatsoever. shame.

Does It Look Like I'm Here?

saw this rec'd in a tim hecker thread from the olden days. sounds cool but the dude who rec'd it sounded like a complete douche
8Ben Frost
Theory of Machines

FlawedPerfection's review of hecker's ravedeath album mentioned this dude as the mixer for the album: "Hecker imbues the suite with a sense of anger and urgency, two emotions rarely tapped by ambient composers, and Hecker succeeds, no doubt assisted by his mixer and contemporary Ben Frost."
on looking up his albums, i found that "Frost is probably most widely recognized for his experimental music drawing widely on influences of minimalism, post-punk, black metal and noise best demonstrated on the 2007 release Theory of Machines."

i mean cmon
9Pillars Of Ivory
Genesis Demo Twenty-Twenty
