Mando often felt like a ghost town and one of the cardboard set pieces was going to blow over at any given second. Boba overcompensated for that by cramming TOO much shit into the streets (*cough rainbow Vespa cyber punk club). Not a good actor in sight in either show, even tho I know Pedro and Rosario are capable of it. Mando kinda figured it’s shit out towards the end after seeming largely pointless for a long time and feeling like watching someone do side quests on a Star Wars RPG. Boba was even more pointless, to a hilarious degree. Obi Wan actually seems to have a story and implications which is kind of cool.

theBoneyKing 05.28.22	I thought the episodes were solid, certainly a stronger start than either Mando or Boba had. Yeah some of the acting and writing is bad but that’s part of the Star Wars charm I guess. Not liking Reva, she feels too cartoony evil while the other Inquisitors aren’t evil enough. I like the direction they took Obi-Wan, it feels realistic and I like how the plot here seems to be filling in some gaps (like Leia knowing who Obi-Wan is, explaining how he knows who Vader is). Kid Leia is neat I guess, I appreciate that she actually acts like a child although I feel like she looks and acts a bit too young to be convincing as a 10 year old. Looked it up an the actor is 9 now so possibly even 8 while filming and her writing seem more like a 7-8 year old except for when she like roasted her cousin. I didn’t buy that Organa’s reasoning for Obi-Wan being the one to save Leia, without any other explanation for why someone might kidnap her it was like such an obvious trap and him saying they didn’t want to draw extra attention to her is BS too, I don’t think a powerful Senator sending an army after his kidnapped daughter would be notable or unreasonable. But yeah, structurally and plot wise at least this is looking to be much better than the other shows (Boba just sucked and I found Mando super hit or miss on an episode to episode basis).

And what's more - Was Vader out of Estuses after he pulled in the first ship? No juice for the second one? Or was the second ship super silent (no engine?) and super quick? Who was a pilot of the first ship? Poor man or woman. RIP. I don't know what's going on with this show but it's full of weird stuff like that.

So many characters surviving just for bullshit reasons, and the set pieces I thought where really bland all throughout this show, including the boring baren rock that Vader and Obi fought at for the final battle. Overall this series was fan service for fans to overindulge on, I would never recommend this show to a new Star Wars fan though.

Deez 06.26.22	I kinda enjoyed it but it was shite, so many things annoyed me about it and Im in no way a Star Wars head. Reva getting a lightsaber through the chest then just bouncing down to find Luke, As said that moment to finish Vader, Guess this is this Disney era I always hear about.

I think the Mandalorian suprised me by being so good. Obi Wan is once again a disappointment, but yeah I guess it was still better than those ghastly movies

Wouldn't surprise me if they end up doing it in the next fallen order game either. Kicking Vader's ass (or at least achieving some kinda moral victory over him) is just a rite of passage for any and every half relevant jedi to survive order 66 (and that's been a problem pre and post-disney). Really cheapens the idea that the only thing that can stop Vader is his love for his son in ROTJ.

MO 06.26.22	Just finished kenobi and it was all just so pointless. Literally nothing happened, there were no stakes and it was all just boring. The final fight was bland, the only good part of the whole show was the dialogue between kenobi and darth when his mask was half destroyed. Such a waste of time
AlexKzillion 06.26.22	I think mando being so far removed from the mainline story and characters makes it a lot easier to enjoy at face value. It's new characters doing cool star wars shit without any pre-determined outcomes of how everything ends. Give me more of that and less content wrung from some throwaway lines in the OT.

Also maybe at least watch the last couple Boba Fett eps if you like Mandalorian, cause Mando, Grogu, Ahsoka, and Luka all appear and it becomes better as Mandalorian season 2.5.
