If you like Linkin Park, I definitely think you should give a listen to Korn and Deftones -- two groups that really paved the way for later nu metal bands like LP (as well as Disturbed). In particular, I'd recommend Korn's self-titled debut album, along with the Deftones album Around the Fur (my favorite album of theirs is White Pony, but I think Fur would be more accessible to fans of bands like LP).
