Moving to Philadelphia!

After 31 years of living in the suburbs, I will be moving to (North) Philly this week! The area is definitely…. seedy to say the least but I am really excited! My goal is to eventually move to Center City, so this is a step in the right direction! It’s just a 15 min bus ride to downtown, so I’m really looking forward to the Spring/Summer and being able to (easily) spend time where all the action is. I have this image in my head of sitting down in Rittenhouse Square and doing some writing in the park! List is some of my favorite Philly(ish) bands.
1Horrendous
Sweet Blasphemies

Eagerly looking forward to their next album….
2The Silver (US)
Ward of Roses

…and if it took domes cues from this, I wouldn’t complain.
3Salvation (USA)
Mortality Interactions

The amount of shows I attend will definitely be increasing. From jazz, to indie, to metal, Philly has an exceptionally vibrant music scene that I’m looking forwarding to immersing myself in.
4The Wonder Years
Suburbia I've Given You All and Now I'm Nothing

Also really excited to familiarize myself with the abundance of record shops around town. I know of a quite a few shops that specialize in heavier music, so hoping to browse their selection and maybe come across some obscure gems!
5Paint It Black
New Lexicon

Maybe becoming a regular at The Grindcore House! As the name suggests, it’s a grindcore themed café, which seems pretty unique and cool!
