Dewinged 02.03.22	I've been around the Interlaken area and it was pretty beautiful, might be a bit boring for u compared to that heli run but there's a train going up the mountain and the landscape is p sweet. Also drove from Geneva through Lausanne to that region bute and the gf were too stoned to remember anything.

Im actually in. interlakken for like 2 days i think, gonna try see the lakes and stuff quick stops either side and down a bit to Lauterbrunnen which always looked like a mad little made up fairy land when I saw vids. Slowly building up to the Alps

Deez 02.04.22	2 extremes right there. Man I never made it to India now I'm too old for anything super hectic, that goes for most of Africa too, although I'll probably go Rwanda in December to see the mountain gorillas
SitarHero 02.04.22	There are some beautiful and tourist-friendly parts of India you could still go to like the coast and backwaters of Kerala, or the beaches of Goa, that probably won't be overwhelming. But yeah, it wouldn't be a really "authentic" experience if that's what you like. I've only been to Kenya and Egypt in Africa, and Egypt was just as overwhelming as India can be, but Kenya was a much different experience.
Deez 02.04.22	Yeah goa definitely isn't for me. Not my thing at all. My friends actually got drugged there (2 girls) and the bar where all in on it, some Eastern European guys loitering waiting for them to pass out not realising they were hardcore and could take their drugs and knew what was happening and to get home! , my younger backpack days I could deal with the more chaotic but heard Egypt is just crazy for being hassled ,grabbed etc etc Would like Kenya , definitely.
SitarHero 02.04.22	Yikes that's awful! Glad they got out of it. Goa is supposedly largely run by the Russian mafia so it can be pretty shady, although the shady shit's also avoidable if you're just looking for a mellow beachside vacation.

'Prepare yourself to spend a shitload of money'. I bought a rail pass for like 350 which should cover most of it. Accommodation mostly paid including breakfast so will one meal a day it but had to buy loads of winter clothes and layers and stuff so its easily twice as much already on what Id normally spend. Obviously the helicopters not cheap either @dedex I did look at that but its off my route man @pik Will try my best boss! x

JesperL 02.04.22	hell yeah deez! before you go, i'd recommend watching a documentary or two on the eiger nordwand, it'll make seeing that particular mountain all the more impressive also if you want to save a bit of money on food in the bigger cities, go to supermarket restaurants!

Piglet 02.04.22	"also remember to eat a lot of cheese [∞]" oh yeh. swisse raclette is still the best food ive ever had. also the matterhorn is fucken amazing, especially if you've had the misfortune of spending your entire life living in the sandy pancake hinterland of australia. It's like travelling to a different planet. My german mate and I hiked up the entire thing because none of the ski lifts were open and we didnt know about the train. Ended up being some lord of the rings mount doom shit, just tens of kilometres of vertical slopes, pumping rammstein, just to see those impossible, jagged peaks... alongside the Eiger, it's still the most incredible thing I've seen. Also every town in Switzerland is idyllic, whether it be Lucerne or Geneva or whatever. Shame the place is so stupidly expensive and the people speak incomprehensible peasant german because it's incredible in every other way.

Mannlichen, The schilthorn, Jungfrau. Lake Thun and Brienz. Down to Zermatt. Helicopter around the Matterhorn, gornergrat, loadsof dope winter walks Glacier express to St Moritz for 3 nights. muottos mugral was UNREAL. Few nights in Zurich and home a Hell of a lot of money down but worth every penny

Cheers norm, mate, had an absolute blast, been to 49 countries now and pound for pound Switzerland has too he right up there.
