| August Burns Red ranked
Not a bad album by this band. Don’t expect this list to be professional in any way, it’s just me rattling off my thoughts. | 1 | | August Burns Red Messengers
The pinnacle of the band’s work imo, perfect in every way. A flawless mix of melody and breakdowns that never gets old. Best tracks: back burner, black sheep, composure, eleventh hour | 2 | | August Burns Red Constellations
This one’s probably the band’s most popular album, and almost a tie for my #1. Not as heavy as messengers, but overall still similar in songwriting. Although I like messengers more overall, gotta say the production on this one’s way better. Best tracks: indonesia, crusaders, white washed | 3 | | August Burns Red Rescue & Restore
Definitely the band’s most emotional album. They went for a more heartfelt vibe on a lot of the songs here that they never really returned to on later releases. I really love it. Of course, there are also regular abr songs in here too. Best tracks: beauty in tragedy, spirit breaker, creative captivity | 4 | | August Burns Red Found in Far Away Places
The album with the weird interludes. A ton of the songs on here have these really interesting interlude sections with unusual instrumentation, such as the folk-y section in the middle of separating the seas. This album also furthered the already high melodic-ness of previous albums. Best tracks: identity, separating the seas, vanguard | 5 | | August Burns Red Leveler
The album that began the sound they currently have, really upping the technical and melodic elements. What especially catches my ear is the song divisions, where the vocals are almost all high screams as opposed to jake’s normal mid-range scream. Best tracks: divisions, carpe diem, salt and light | 6 | | August Burns Red Guardians
Although it strays slightly from the sound they were building up for a bit of a more generic sound, I still enjoy it. Some songs miss the mark for me but I overall liked it. Best tracks: three fountains, bloodletter, paramount | 7 | | August Burns Red Phantom Anthem
Although it’s got some filler it’s mostly great. Probably the most melodic album they’ve done. Best tracks: the frost, float, king of sorrow | 8 | | August Burns Red Thrill Seeker
Not a bad album by any means, it has some good tracks, but about half of it is filler. It just doesn’t hold up in comparison to the others. Best tracks: barbarian, speech impediment, eve of the end | |

09.02.21 | Pretty unprofessional and unpolished list, I just wanted to make a ranking for the fun of it | autoNamed
09.02.21 | Thrill seeker should be #1 and the rest should all be #8 | Emim
09.02.21 | Thrill Seeker is like #5 if I'm feeling generous. |
