I'm genuinely in awe of most of Caesar's victories, espically those in the civil war. (The Gallic Wars are impressive as well, though it's mostly agreed that they were unnecessary and simply a tool for Caesar's political designs) | | 2 | Alexander The Great (Macedon)

Alexander fought mostly against an impotent Persia (Xenophon's march had made it clear to the Greeks some 70 years prior that the great Persian empire was mostly a mirage) | | 3 | Hannibal Barca (Carthage)
Perhaps the most intensely brilliant tactician of all time, Hannibal's wins at Trebia, Trasimene, and Cannae represent the single three most crushing string of victories in ancient history. Trasimene and Cannae are such complete and absolute victories it's hard to express in words how impressive they are. Hannibal deserves to be censured, though, for not marching on Rome immediately after Cannae. | | 4 | Cyrus The Great (Persia)
