| Mv Yr Bdy (the Fabric Guide)
So I've been on a Huugeeee electro kick recently, and pretty much went all out and got a whole bunch of Fabric mixes. For those not in the know, Fabric is pretty much the palace de grand of London Rave (i.e. It's a nightclub if you don't get it) and their mixes, put out monthly by a different DJ, are some of the most prolific in the dance scene. Here's a small guide to a few of them. | 1 | | Howie B FabricLive 05
This mix would have been awesome about 4 years ago when it came out, you can sorta see the beginning of the harder electro that you'll find today, but it's still a good mix. | 2 | | Plump DJs FabricLive 08
I've always had a soft spot for the Plumps, they're somewhat unique with their style of breaks, and this is just a solid mix by them. | 3 | | Jaques Lu Cont FabricLive 09
Probably the most staunchly House album here, this is a really *Smooooth* mix, alot of old classics in here, this one is more for a Sunday night, rather than a Saturday. | 4 | | Adam Freeland FabricLive 16
Another breaks mix, Freeland is a solid DJ, and this one is jsut another good one to chill with, although it's not top tier stuff. | 5 | | Diplo FabricLive 24
Diplo's always been one of my favorite DJs, and this mix is just him sorta distilled down to a Tee. Baible Funk, electro and rap, another one for a party. | 6 | | Cut Copy FabricLive 29
Yep, Cut Copy were DJing well before In Ghost Colours came out, and at Fabric even - it's what you'd expect, indie-dance/electro, but impecciably well done. | 7 | | Stanton Warriors FabricLive 30
This one is more or less a staright up Rap mix, but the Stantons are pretty much the best at what they do when it comes to Rap and beat, and here is no exception. | 8 | | Tayo FabricLive 32
This is breakbeat like you've never heard it before, Tayo is an absolute beast, mix of dub, breaks, baile funk, etc, this is from somewhere else. | 9 | | Spank Rock FabricLive 33
80s funk, electro and all round party atmosphere. Mixing isn't all that great, but can't complain about song choice here. | 10 | | Krafty Kuts FabricLive 34
My favorite Fabric Mix, this one is, if you'll excuse me, a cut above the rest for pure fun. Breaks and electro abound, an hour long party on plastic. | 11 | | Simian Mobile Disco FabricLive 41
Simian blew up in '07 with Attack Sustain Decay Release, and there at it again here with the most recent Fabriclive mix, pure dirty electro like only they can do. | 12 | | Michael Mayer Fabric 13
Said by some to the best the best Fabric mix there, Mayer brand of minimal is engrossing and warming at the same time, but you gotta be in the mood for it. | 13 | | Craig Richards Fabric 15
Basicly 2CDs of slow tech house, you either really gotta FEEL this album, or give up on it completely. | 14 | | Andrew Weatherall Fabric 19
Another one of my favorite DJs, Weatherall flirts with electro and tech, and although this mix isn't as complicated as some of his other works, it's still pretty fine. | 15 | | John Digweed Fabric 20
Digweed is pretty much one of the biggest DJs out there, and although he's slipped somewhat recently, this is Digweed harking back oldschool House style, very technoish. | 16 | | Adam Beyer Fabric 22
Tech house at it's peak, this is stunner of a mix, it's deep and complicated without being overbearing - very German, but that's what to expect from Beyer. | 17 | | Tiefschwarz Fabric 29
Minimal, but not to the extent of say, Villalobos, still plenty of deep, heavy beats to underscore the softness here, it's refreshing to have a minimal mix that does this. | 18 | | Ewan Pearson Fabric 35
One of the more danceable house/tech mixes here, Pearson keeps the pace relatively fast theres lots to find in and around the songs here. | 19 | | Ricardo Villalobos Fabric 36
This one isn't a mix per se, 'cause Villalobos decided that he'd put together a whole new set of his own songs together for this. | 20 | | Dark Tranquility Fabric
Because I Can. | |

@foreverendeared - I haven't listened to any Kitsuné for ages, but from what I remember their general sound is pretty different from the way the fabric series is moving. | ShitsofRain
