03.05.21 | Someone close to me has struggled with OCD most of their life, I've come to know a fair bit about it and those lyrics really hit man. |

03.05.21 | Hello funeral bruh, I will listen soon.

03.05.21 | Top notch, just love it! Sorry for what you are going through.

03.05.21 | Thanks for the well wishes guys. I'm thankfully in a place where my OCD is very well managed but there was definitely a time where it controlled my life. It has also shaped a lot of who I am and my views in general, parts of me I even like. Escitalopram honestly changed my life, it is like before and after, like putting on glasses for the first time. |

03.05.21 | I have never taken medicine for my OCD, even when it was kinda - er - overwhelming, but maybe I was too young?
It's a weird one, my OCD is definitely still there in small bits and pieces, but being able to breathe with it compared to how it was is such a relief, and I'm glad you are out of that rut. It has definitely defined me and I can't necessarily think of any songs about it, off the top of my head, so I appreciate this alot. Thanks for sharing. |

03.05.21 | Taking medication is something to consider, it made a massive difference for me. You don't have to take an ocd specific medication but a antidepressant works well. For me my mind would never stop buzzing, I couldnt have a silent mind for even one second. Only thing is side effects of an antidepressant can be bad and it's not known which medication works for you. It can be worth trying to find however. |

03.05.21 | I'm on a fairly decent dose of Sertaline, which the doctors seem pre persistent to maintain as my no.1 medication (despite me asking to move smh). Yeah, I thought the notion when I was looking into it was that there were no "OCD" specific medicines as such. It's an interesting one.
I did always think OCD made a really promising way to capture into a song, esp. the compulsions (mine were always in 3's i.e. check 3 times, check 3 times, check 3 times). If I had half a talent in music I might've just tried myself lol. |

03.05.21 | Fuck yes, that's a great song. Asleep said it. |

03.05.21 | I feel u on that def funeral, I will never stop telling people that psychiatry legit saved my life. It can be a double edged sword and gets a bad rap, but if your doctor knows what they're doing, which they should, it can definitely be life-changing
But yeah it's great that you're able to confront it like this and turn it into something so profound and meaningful, huge props on that |

03.06.21 | I also have OCD. I don't really listen to black metal but this song was really really cool. You did an excellent job, keep up the good work < 3 |

03.06.21 | Yea evilford I'm a huge advocate for mental health. I really think everyone can use it no matter their problem, everyone needs it. That is if they can afford it of course. Don't know if you're aware of my situation but I have a very rare stage 4 lung cancer.
My hospital gives me a free psychiatrist. Even more interestingly, and less conventional, I have a music therapist. We've been meeting for about a yeaar and discuss how music/lyrics can help through tough times. We've had a lot of really interesting discussions around music, she's pretty cool in that she's even open-minded to black/death metal. Music really has helped a lot through this process. |

03.06.21 | Im glad that all of that helps u so much. Therapy has been instrumental for me as well. Although I haven't had that specific kind of therapy or circumstances but it's definitely awesome that you have access to those tools.
And yes, I was aware of that. I had seen you mention that somewhere before, don't remember where. I'm sure that it's super hard to deal with and scary. And I know I'm basically just a stranger on the internet but I've been on this site for almost a decade and recognize you in threads and have a definite connection to your music taste and especially the mental health stuff etc...
I guess what I'm trying to say is...I know it isn't much, but if you want to talk about anything or vent, or anything at all, please don't hesitate to s/b me. I know i can't really help a lot but I wish I could.
/rambling. Sorry lol |
Funeralopolis
03.06.21 | Thanks evilford. I'm really glad some people were able to connect with the song and relate it to their mental health experience. That alone means a lot to me. |

03.06.21 | Awesome man. It definitely hit me on a strong personal level, and I appreciate you sharing it with us a lot! |
