I am all for'bad production' if that means that electronic processing and high tech is minimised to ensure an organic output. I mean I love the production on early Burzum or Darkthrone or even on the more obscure fuil na seanchoille or orgy of carrion. But this album has a production that seems somebody wanted that nobody hears the music on it. Especially when vocals come in it gets totally off. Probably my ears don't do it justice as I have never seen anyone comment this, on the contrary I even saw folks praising the production. Nonetheless, if I would one day rank Darkthrone albums this would be dead last because of it. | |
