Favourite Electric Wizard songs
The mighty wizard is here. The magic piece of the puzzle is that Electric wizard keeps it simple yet every listen unveils a new face, a new emotion, a new angle. Some of the early albums are truly bizarre and very unique. It encompasses 2 sides for me: one is the (sort of) fun (meaning riffy and headbangable , not happy and cheerful) Sabbath worship craft and the other one is the deep, bitter, desolated deep fog that is present a lot within its journey. I don't know if I described this well or even if I make any sense whatsoever, things are fuzzy now. Anyhow, Electric wizard is also called by many the heaviest band in the world, I don't know what to say, I mean ,who am I to contradict?? although thinking of this crown other names pop to my mind first, the likes of Conan, Dragged into sunlight or Teitanblood. Electric wizard definitely holds the flagship in Stoner metal though and surely deserves it. One more thing, outside a whole genre they've influenced, there is as well a great cover band called Acoustic wizard, fantastic stuff, definitely worth checking out. |
