cute 2021 death metal journal

Gonna be jamming lots of dm and I need a way to keep it organized along with some quick thoughts, so here we go. Don't comment on this thread unless you're cool with seeing it pop up in your discussions regularly lol.

Nice 'n icy. A solid way to start the year. Not many bells and whistles here, just good ol' dm featuring sounds of a guy getting stabbed to death (probably with an ice pick)

Awesome debut from these guys. Blackened dm, basically deathcore I guess. Big production, great musicianship.

An Unexpected Reality

This one’s an EP, a bunch of short quick titty slapper tracks followed by a long doomy outro. Pretty cool but the guitar tones kinda turn me off.

Tech death/deathcore, pretty much the goal of this album was to play as loud and fast as possible for 40 mins. It kicks ass, but very little dynamic range.

If you can get past the production being pretty shite, you'll notice everything else is actually pretty good. And I love the album art. (but seriously tho what is with these gravel ass guitar tones. and I mean bad gravel ass, not good gravel ass like Dismember)

Some good ol death ‘n roll. Head bangin tunes here, plenty of fun, but nothing too challenging. And absolutely the coolest album art of the year so far.
