These Give Me Chills

20 parts in songs that give me chills/blow me away with power. There isn't really an order to any of these
1 Underoath
The Only Survivor Was Miraculously Unharmed

The first minute or so just blows me back. THE SILENCE IS KILLING MEEEEEE!!!!!!!
2 The Red Chord
Antman

WITH THE PRECISION OF AN AXE, AS IT CUTS RIGHT THROUGH SOMEONEEEEEE. Guy Kozowyk rules so hard it's not even funny.
3 Protest the Hero
Blindfolds Aside

The soft and clean interlude is beautiful and then the band just explodes back in what is probably the most emotional part in any PTH song.
4 Metallica
Blackened

The harmonies after the "see your mother die!" part still remain to be one of the greatest guitar parts I've ever heard. Definitely my favorite Metallica song and one of the finest metal songs ever crafted.
5 Isis
In Fiction

A song that builds and builds until the incredibly heavy climax at the end. Maybe the most passionate song I've heard these guys play.
6 Anata
Better Grieved Than Fooled

The part in the song when the opening riff is restated and the band begins to solo over this riff. Pure death metal genius.
7 At the Gates
Suicide Nation

*click-click*
8 The Ocean
Rhyacian

The most epic song on the double album for sure. I challenge you not to be blown back at 6:04 when the GIGANTIC chords hit. Pure, unadulterated power.
9 Pantera
Floods

Best guitar solo ever tbh
10 Thrice
Digital Sea

The chord swells during the chorus of this song always raise the hairs on the back of my neck.
11 Tool
Eulogy

Maynard's finest lyrical moment if you ask me. Simply a stunning song throughout with such a moving ending.
12 Dillinger Escape Plan
Variations on a Cocktail Dress

The closing samples always freaked me the fuck out
13Arsis
A Diamond For Disease

At the part when the drums drop out and there's like 5 separate parts going on. So. Fucking. Sick.
14 Pink Floyd
Don't Leave Me Now

I could name at least twenty parts in The Wall that give me chills, but this one came to mind first. Roger Waters is totally convincing here, especially when he says "WHY ARE YOU RUNNING AWAY?!?!?!"
15 Radiohead
Fitter Happier

Pretty obvious why this is here.
16 Moonsorrow
J??st? Syntynyt/Varjojen Virta

The build up takes a good while, but when the first huge distorted chords come in you know exactly why you waited. This song is just epic genius.
17Edge of Sanity
Crimson

16:14 = the best riff on the album and one of my favorite guitar riffs of all time
18 Disillusion
The Sleep of Restless Hours

The last five minutes or so of the song where it's entirely instrumental. The band just keeps stacking harmonies on top of each other and it just keeps getting more gigantic.
19 Opeth
To Bid You Farewell

Opeth's greatest ballad still, and the entrance of the distorted riffs has brought a tear to my eye in the past.
20 Rage Against the Machine
Freedom

If you've heard the outro to this song you know just what I'm talking about.
