| Top 10 Alien Ant Farm Songs
You didn't need to ask, but I delivered anyway. *Trigger Warning*: this list does not contain Movies or their cover of Smooth Criminal. | 10 | | Alien Ant Farm Always and Forever
"Yellow Pages" - Such an underrated banger of a rock track. Heavy, riffy, and an ANThemic chorus. I don't remember thinking much of it when the album dropped back in 2015 - but this thing fuckin' GOES. | 9 | | Alien Ant Farm Up in the Attic
"She's Only Evil" - Creepy, sad, mysterious. I remember listening to this in my dorm room as a college freshman thinking that blasting it made me dark and interesting. What a fuckin loser lol. Song is cool though. | 8 | | Alien Ant Farm ANThology
"Courage" - The guitar work here rules. I also love the faded and barely audible screams, especially in the beginning. This thing is just a ball of vocal intensity as well. What a superb modern alt-rock track. | 7 | | Alien Ant Farm ANThology
"Universe" - This is 9 minutes long but some of it is silence. Can't decide which part is better, the first half with the subtle shifts in guitar tone and the "we used to shake the beehive" chorus, or the eerie hidden track at the end. Regardless, I just gave you two good reasons to listen to this, so stop stalling and get to work. | 6 | | Alien Ant Farm TruANT
"Glow" - This is the bounciest, sunniest, and most enjoyable song in their discog. This track makes me happier than any pseudo-nice-boy-band like Relient K ever could, it's just sheer euphoria. The sex puns are cheesy as hell and awesome. The beat is the most addicting thing ever. Listen to this and try not to smile. I dare you. | 5 | | Alien Ant Farm Up in the Attic
"Forgive & Forget" - It's hard to find a good breakup song that is angry as hell but still earnest/longing. I must've spun this song a thousand times over the span of my first few breakups; it's irresistibly bitter. | 4 | | Alien Ant Farm TruANT
"These Days" - I think it was Madden 2004 that got me hooked on this. I could be wrong, but I swear it was the one with Vick (pre-jail) on the cover. Anyway, I'd always turn the volume all the way up on this when it would come on because it was my favorite song from the video game's soundtrack (this was back when Madden played rock and punk songs primarily, not shitty trap songs and mainstream country-pop, aka the good old days). This is like the perfect AAF song: huge, epic, and catchy all around. | 3 | | Alien Ant Farm Always and Forever
"Homage" - This is the ultimate feel good reminiscing song. AAF pays tribute to all of their idols, from ELO to Joni Mitchell. Anyone who loves classic rock will appreciate all the artists they name check here. Kind of just an awesome moment that says "you guys made us who we are; thanks". Much respect for this. | 2 | | Alien Ant Farm Up in the Attic
"Crickets" - This is a personal favorite of mine and I feel like it often gets overlooked. It's very sad and moody, but also extremely romantic. The lyrics rule: "Look for fool's gold in the scary creek / Splash you, cold, and hear you scream"..."No one's here to believe us, and I don't wanna share you"..."Years gone by and this creek's all dried / Funny little things never work out". It basically just tells the tale of this random, special little memory that the narrator shares with this girl, and later reflects on how she's gone and the creek that they used to play in is now dried up. It's a simple analogy but I've always loved the sincerity of the delivery. | 1 | | Alien Ant Farm TruANT
"S.S. Recognize" - This song makes me feel like I could run through a wall. The guitars are so angry and sinister...yet also so rhythmic and catchy. The song structure is unconventional, the drumming is outstanding, and the guitar work is off the wall. Love the whispers in between the verses and refrains. The bridge is fucking wild, almost feels like a Limp Bizkit moment. I adore angry Alien Ant Farm, and the shouts here are flawless and right in tune with the tone of the song. Perfect from front to end, if you don't like this track even a little bit then we cannot be friends and it's deeply personal. | |

12.09.20 | I remember these guys exist roughly every 2.5 years, binge on their discog hard for like 2 weeks, then fade them again.
This is one of those 2 week periods. | mynameischan
12.09.20 | their 'smooth criminal' cover is genuinely good lol
also i can relate so hard to hearing 'these days' in madden | SowingSeason
12.09.20 | I love their Smooth Criminal cover too (Movies as well), but I feel like they're the two songs that everyone knows and then they glaze over the rest of their discog halfheartedly. I personally prefer this list, but I know damn well that those two songs are probably #11 and #12, ha. | DavidYowi
12.09.20 | Really nice seeing Alien Ant Farm get love on sput. Flesh and Bone, Hope, Sticks and Stones, Sarah Wynn, and especially Attitude are some of my favs.
Also I cannot believe that Bojack Horseman ripped off Alien Ant Farm with Sarah Lynn lol.
Fun fact: Their Smooth Criminal cover is the most popular song to feature a 6-string bass. | Ecnalzen
