11.24.20 | Both ONE EYE SEES RED and HAMZE are 4/5 for me; love them both immensely, though if your preference tends toward a more sprawling and wide-open aesthetic, OESR will definitely scratch that itch more readily. I've heard a few detractors say that they don't like the neo-psych tracks on HAMZA because it disrupts the heavier space/jazz rock flow, and I can see that, too. I think there's a delicate balance to it, though. |
