09.18.20 | Agreed, Toe is huge. Hella are a bit intense but I love that band (the 1st, 2nd, and last records anyway). Don Caballero are fantastic as well. Slint also. Women are indie rock and post punk, but still very fucking math rock at times. |

09.18.20 | Slint is obviously the best rec', but Don Caballero and Hella are great representives for the more traditional math rock you're looking for. I also highly recommend Lightning Bolt even if they lean towards noise rock. A lot of newer math rock bands tend to aimlessly noodle around so it's hard to recommend those, but the genre has had its greats. |
