Top 10 Horror Films of the 2010s

I've been trying to catch up on some of the better-rated horror films of the last decade. These are my favorite ten of the decade.
The Tomb Within

The Autopsy of Jane Doe - Director: Andre Ovredal

Another small film that features a father/son coroner team faced with an autopsy they wish they'd never performed.
The Apostate of Light

Oculus - Director: Mike Flanagan

Features Karen Gillan of Doctor Who and Guardians of the Galaxy fame as a young woman whose family has a problem with a mirror.
8Henry Rollins
Get In the Van

He Never Died - Director: Jason Krawczyk

A fun film that's not well known, featuring Henry Rollins as a guy with a special kind of eating disorder.

It - Director: Andy Muschietti

Based on one of Stephen King's better novels, Bill Skarsgard steals the show as Pennywise the Clown. I'm just going to pretend that Chapter Two never happened.
6And Hell Followed With

It Follows - Director: David Robert Mitchell

Essentially a film about a stalky venereal disease that you just can't shake. Very likable cast.
5The Witch

The Witch - Director: Robert Eggers

Slow at times, but creepy and atmospheric. Special kudos to Black Phillip the goat for stealing all of the scenes he was in.
4Zombie Ghost Train
Dealing The Death Card

Train to Busan - Director: Yeon Sang-ho

This one has some relentless zombie action. Definitely the best zombie flick of the decade.
Against the Storm

Annihilation - Director: Alex Garland

Another one that might be more of a science fiction film than a straight-up horror film, but it's another interesting film visually, and the plot is pretty original.
2In These Murky Waters
In These Murky Waters

The Shape of Water - Director: Guillermo del Toro

Yeah, I know it's not technically a horror film, and that the real monster here is General Zod, not the creature. But it is a del Toro film, and that means a lot of uncomfortable and/or horrific imagery, which is close enough for me.
City Sun Eater In The River Of Light

The Cabin in the Woods - Director: Drew Goddard

It's not by any means the scariest or creepiest film on the list, but I thought it was the most clever. I also loved the killer cast.
