The Best Concert Moments

Moments in shows that I've seen which were supremely awesome
1Dillinger Escape Plan
Miss Machine

During the "without my existence" part of Sunshine The Werewolf, guitarist Jeff Tuttle jumped into the pit and thrashed about uncontrollably while never missing a note. The look on his face was terrifying...and awesome. Hands down the most metal thing I've ever seen.
2Mastodon
Blood Mountain

Being two feet in front of Brent Hinds for a headlining set...how is that not awesome? Plus after the show I met Brann and got a picture with him! It was my first metal show, and still one of the best.
3Firewind
The Premonition

Seeing keyboardist/guitarist Bob Katsionis do arpeggio sweeps on the guitar and mimicking the same melodic lines on the keys at the same time was pretty jaw dropping.
4Arsis
A Diamond For Disease

I've seen Arsis four times and they play A Diamond For Disease every time. You do the math.
5Dark Tranquillity
Fiction

I saw them with Firewind in June. The band was so well received by the audience and was so kind to everyone. There weren't any assholes at the show trying to hurt people for no reason. Everyone just came to listen to great music and rock out with DT. If only that audience was more like the actual metal community these days.
6Kataklysm
In The Arms Of Devastation

Seeing them close with "The Road to Devastation" was one of the most powerful and vulnerable moments I've seen at a show. I recall having quite the shitty week and that song was the perfect cure.
7Lye By Mistake
Arrangements For Fulminating Vective

These guys played right after two deathcore bands, and totally amazed. Besides their music being incredibly technical and badass, their live show was terrifying and hilarious. The vocalist during a goofy country breakdown jumped right in front of a scenefag's face and shook his incredibly fat ass at him for almost a minute. Ownage incarnate.
8Between the Buried and Me
Colors_LIVE

Colors is one of my favorite albums all time and I saw it in his entirety. Pretty obvious why it's on here.
9Victor Wooten
A Show Of Hands

The man's got some serious chops.
10Opeth
Ghost Reveries

*insert generic Mikael is funny comment here* No but seriously tremendous set. Seeing "The Grand Conjuration" just made me violent.
